Fall Sports - Upcoming Events

The girls Volleyball Team will be hosting a Crossover Game on Thursday 10/23 at 7:00pm. Opponent is yet TBD.

The Varsity Football Team will play a crossover game vs. Franklin at 7:00pm on Friday 10/24 at SWAC.

The Metro Championship for XC is on Thursday 10/23 at Lower Woodland.

1st Qtr Progress Reports Are Now Online

In keeping with our school’s vision of creating a Greener Learning Environment for our West Seattle High School students, the 2014-15 First Quarter Progress Report Grades are now available to families for On-Demand Viewing purposes through Parent Source Accounts.

From the Source, you have Unlimited Online Access to your child’s Grades, Attendance, Assessments, Current Library Record, the School Bulletin, and School Website and Information- right at your fingertips!

To Register for a Parent Source Account and/ or learn more about the Source, please visit http://ps.seattleschools.org. Please be sure to have your personal email address, your child’s Student Identification Number, Date of Birth, and School Name ready and available. If you need help creating an account, or are having trouble accessing an existing account, please email: sourcesupport@seattleschools.org

If you have any questions regarding your student’s grades, class placement, or performance, please contact your child’s Teacher and/or School Counselor directly.

If you feel that your child would benefit from free tutoring, retesting, and other academic supports, Saturday Study Hall is available for all West Seattle High School Students. The next Saturday Study Hall will be held on October 25th from 9am- 12pm, with breakfast provided. If you would like more information regarding extra academic support, please contact Sandi Whiton in the Tutoring Center at 206-252-8787, or you may also contact her via e-mail at: sswhiton@seattleschools.org.

Parents Night Out
Parents!

We are having another parents night out on Friday, October 24th from 5:30 to 10:00pm.

It is $25 per child or $20 with two cans of food.

There will be pizza, games, a movie and more. We hope your children can make it!

SENIOR PICTURES
REQUIREMENTS FOR YEARBOOK SENIOR PICTURES:

• Vertical orientation
• Head and shoulders shot.
• At least 300 dpi
• Digital or print copies accepted (digital preferred)
• No full body, no props.
• Head size from top of head to chin: 1 inch minimum (1.5w x 2v inches preferred)
• Color photos, please. No black and white or sepia.
• Keep the background simple.
8th Grade Parent Night Information
A quick note to next year's incoming students/parents who are already calling for this information.

First, we are very happy to have so many families excited to get started at our wonderful school!

Parent Night will be December 11th at West Seattle High School this year.
 

We'll be posting more information as that date approaches.  Please also keep an eye to our calendar for updates.

Saturday Study Hall on School Calendar
The Saturday Study Hall dates have been added to the School Calendar. 

Study Halls are 9AM- 12PM in the School Library for free tutoring, retesting, and other academic supports.
Breakfast provided.

Reaching for the Stars Auction!
Come out and Support our Wonderful School!

The auction will be November 21, 2014 at the Brockey Center - South Seattle Community College.

Tickets are $50 each (discounts for teachers and staff), Earlybird Tickets are $40 through October 31st.

Last year we raised $50,480 that was divided equally between the Arts, Athletics, and Academics. We have the same division for this years auction.  Dessert Dash went to Grad-night that allowed us to offer a discount of $50.00 when the actual ticket per student cost $200.00

This year we could do even better with your support!
